Let me start off by expressing what a wild ride I’ve been on for the past 6 years! I’ll be turning 26 next month and have been reflecting a lot on all that I’ve experienced and grown through since entering adulthood.
The difference I see in my life, my mindset, and my health is so drastic and quite bittersweet to perceive. I don’t think I could express enough how grateful I am to be here, to feel the way that I do now, to enjoy life, and to be in the position that I am to write this blog and speak with so many people about all the passions that I’ve grown to develop.
Your twenties are truly a time for exploration; not just out into the world but also inside of you. I’ve gained so much knowledge over these past couple of years and now I want to share some of these lessons with you. Maybe you can take them more seriously than I did and save yourself some of the same trouble😂
Learn to be still and patient. Change always comes.
Attract don’t chase. Think of it like this: if you’re chasing something that means it’s running away from you. You might be chasing something that isn’t meant to be yours instead of putting your energy into an opportunity that is.
The universe gives you what you believe you deserve, that’s why your mindset is so important.
Consistency. It can make or break everything whether that be consistency in a relationship (actions, communication), consistency with a workout routine, consistency in therapy or with medication, etc.
You cannot assume that everyone has the same heart as you, operates or thinks as you do, or will continue to grow alongside you. Know that’s okay.
You’ll never be satisfied living your life for others when you’re here to live life for yourself.
What you’re going through is not who you are. Your mental health is not your spirit or personality.
You shouldn’t have to change who you are to make the people around you happy. Maybe you just need to change the people around you.🤷🏽♀️
Being your authentic self is the only way to help the right people, your people, find you. No one can truly love you for all that you are if you don’t show them who that is.
The hard times will help you appreciate the good.
No one will do the work for you, get your dreams for you, or show up for you if you don’t show up for yourself.
Find the lessons in your hard times because there is always something to learn. If you fail to “pass the test” you’ll notice the universe handing you the same experience over and over until you choose to do differently.
You’re never too late for your miracle and you’re never stuck in one place UNLESS you choose to stay there. Take those small steps today and watch your tomorrow change for the better.
There is someone who is always going to be there for you no matter what, no matter the time, no matter the place, no matter the reason… and that person is YOU. Be your own love, your own bestie.
While self-love can change your life for the better, it isn’t a fix for every problem. It’s okay to desire companionship, affection, and external love. Know that you are always worthy of it.
Manifest with gratitude. Focus on appreciating what you already have instead of focusing on what you don’t. This keeps your energy and vibrations aligned to attract even more to feel grateful for.
Practice giving what you wish to receive; friendship, love, words, actions, etc.
Treat yourself the way you want to be treated. Set the standard for others to follow.
Learning self-awareness, mindfulness, and accountability will take you much farther in life.
“It’s all a part of the process”; It’s okay for things to change or not go as expected, that’s life. Sometimes the universe is aligning you for something better than what you originally imagined. I wouldn’t change anything I went through because I wouldn’t be who and where I am today if I did.
